Busy Man

I’m a partial pleaser
Wish it complete, but I’m in too deep
A certified yes man, yes that’s me
I’m caught in a corner
There’s much more than I bargained for
A steady stream flowing through my door

So take a number, it may never be returned
Because I’m left over my head
When everyone needs to be fed, they all say:

“Want you better, to the letter.
Better shape up, play it up to meet demand.
Where do you stand?”
Well I’m a busy man

I’m afraid that’s not all left to say
I didn’t try to tease her,
I didn’t speak, but she had to leave
This kind wants full time not relief

So take a number, it may never be returned
Because I’m left over my head
When everyone needs to be fed, they all say:

“Want you better, to the letter.
Better shape up, play it up to meet demand.
Where do you stand?”
Well I’m a busy man

It’s all the same, I’ll take the blame
It’s all the same, I’ll take the blame

“Want you better, to the letter.
Better shape up, play it up to meet demand.
Where do you stand?”
Well I’m a busy man
